Mia is here!!!

Scott and I are very proud to announce that Mia Grace Saunders was delivered on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 8:23 AM. She weighed in at 8 lbs 1 oz and measured 20 3/4 inches long.

We went to the hospital on Wednesday, January 6 at 5:00 PM to begin the induction process. We were very bored of waiting, waiting, and more waiting for Mia to make her appearance Friday morning. (There's only so much hospital TV you can watch, especially when spoiled by all of the channels at home!) But, after a very long night and day, the wait was of course well worth it.

Mia has a head full of dark brown hair, and her eyes are currently a deep blue but we expect that to change some over the next few weeks. Her skin is a peachy/olive mix and is so soft and smooth. She is absolutely perfect!

Currently, Mia is sleeping well and is very quiet, but most likely that will change very soon!

Scott and I appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers, and we can't wait to send more updates and pictures!
